Forget what your favourite pro rider’s bike setup looks like unless your body and your riding style are carbon copies of his.

Body Geometry Fit Integration Technology (FIT)
What’s Body Geometry FIT all about?
At The Cyclery, we understand your desire to be the best cyclist you can be, while remaining comfortable and avoiding injury. With this in mind, we have created a Body Geometry FIT studio at each of our shop locations to help you integrate fully with your chosen steed.
Our highly qualified Body Geometry FIT Technician, Jim Matthews, has been thoroughly trained by Dr. Andy Pruitt at the Specialized Bicycle University. He will spend upto 4hrs in a one on one pre-fit interview and fit process, determining how your unique anatomy is matched by your bike setup, resulting in increased power, efficiency and comfort. A video analysis will be presented showing your before and after riding position, and on completion of the fit you will be provided with a detailed report outlining your equipment and bike set up requirements.
The Body Geometry FIT process
Every fit, regardless of your cycling experience, starts with a brief interview with Jim that addresses your injury history, needs and goals.
This evaluation gains an accurate picture of your flexibility and other physical attributes, including assessment of foot structure, knee position, spinal curve, shoulder extension, hip flexion and leg length.
Assessed using a side-on view of you on your bike, the goal is to deliver a correct neutral position that’s both powerful and comfortable through adjustments to saddle height, handlebar height, stem length and cleat position.
Analysis from front-on optimises hip, knee and foot alignment for greater performance and balanced power delivery. Jim will also analyse your pedal and shoe placement and squareness on the saddle.
After 3-4 weeks, you’ll have a follow up appointment with Jim to discuss the effectiveness of the adjustments and to answer any other questions or concerns you may have.
Body Geometry FIT results
Several seasoned pros have benefited from the results Body Geometry FIT offers. Hear what they have to say:
Body Geometry FIT products
A successful bike fit relies heavily on the interfaces between your body and your bike. Specialized has extended the Body Geometry FIT system to enhance these interfaces with carefully designed shoes, gloves and saddles.
Body Geometry Gloves
Body Geometry Gloves feature a unique pad system, designed by ergonomics expert Dr. Roger Minkow, M.D., that helps reduce hand numbness (aka, cycling palsy) by relieving pressure on the ulnar nerve. Multi-density grips and bar coverings work together with Body Geometry gloves to improve comfort and endurance.
Body Geometry Shoes
Developed with Dr. Andy Pruitt of the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine, Body Geometry shoes and High Performance footbeds use built-in ergonomic features like the varus wedge, longitudinal arch, and metatarsal button to make the connection between body and bike more productive and more comfortable.
Body Geometry Saddles
Developed with ergonomics expert Dr. Roger Minkow, M.D., Body Geometry saddles and shorts use customized shapes, cut-aways and multi-density padding to reduce pressure on arteries and soft tissue for improved blood flow and comfort. At The Cyclery we offer a comfort fit guarantee – we’ll let you try as many saddles as you need to until you get the perfect FIT.
